The Word Today
Jesus spoke for himself. He spoke on his own authority. He made no distinction between his word and God's word. He was God's mouth, God's voice, God's authority. Small wonder if Christ's teaching did impress them. After all it was weighted with eternity.

Stained Glass Collection
The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Fund takes place after all the Masses this weekend.
World Day of the Sick:
The Diocesan celebration of the 20th World Day of the Sick will be held in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Mourne Road, Drimnagh on Sunday 5th Feb at 3pm. Archbishop Martin will be the main celebrant at Mass which will include a celebration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Extensive parking will be available in the school grounds on Sperrin Road, beside the church. Refreshments will be served after Mass.
Carmelite Vocation? Next weekend
10th -12th February 2012 experience our cloistered contemplative life during a Monastic Weekend at the Carmelite Monastery, Delgany Co Wicklow. Single women (25-45 age group) interested in finding out more about a Carmelite Contemplative vocation are invited to share in our life of prayer, liturgy and work for a few days.

Take place in the Parish Pastoral Centre every Thursday night from 8-10. All are welcome.
Coffee Morning:
Angela Haskins is holding her monthly Coffee Morning this Sunday for St Conleth's College Uganda Project. The project supports the 500 pupil Kitatya Secondary School in Kayunga.
B.E. - Beginning Experience :
B.E. Is a support group for those coping with the pain of loss of their life partner, through Death, Separation or Divorce. Few people are able to cope alone with the pain of loss. This is a healing ministry, which helps to resolve the grief that goes with the end of a marriage or relationship. A team, who are themselves widowed, separated or divorced share their experiences with you. Next Coping Programme will commence on Wednesday 15th February 2012, for 7 Wednesday evenings, at 7.30pm in White Friars Community Centre, Aungier St., Dublin 2.
